Chennai: The AIADMK will hold a meeting of its district secretaries and headquarters functionaries tomorrow.
The meeting will be chaired by general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami, according to a press release.
The meeting will discuss on various issues including preparing for forthcoming Lok Sabha polls.
Earlier, Palaniswami claimed that the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, MK Stalin, was unable to accept the AIADMKâs decision to break ties with the BJP. Consequently, Palaniswami accused the DMK of orchestrating false and motivated campaigns against the AIADMK.
One notable highlight mentioned by Palaniswami was the revocation of the Goondas Act against six out of the seven farmers involved in protests against the acquisition of their fertile farmland for the Cheyyar Sipcot project. He asserted that the peopleâs response to such actions would be reflected in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, promising a âbefitting lesson.â
Highlighting the AIADMKâs track record during its governance, Palaniswami stated that the government under the AIADMK had granted permission for 35,000 protests, addressing various demands. He also emphasized the distribution of Rs 2,500 to every family along with Pongal gift hampers, contrasting it with allegations that the DMK provided inferior quality products worth crores during the Pongal festival.
