History-sheeter wanted for murder killed in encounter

A notorious history-sheeter, Jagan, alias Kombu Jagan, met his demise during a police encounter in Thiruverambur. Jagan, aged 30, was wanted in connection with multiple criminal cases, including murder, and had earned a reputation as a prominent figure with 11 pending cases against him in various police stations across the state. The encounter unfolded near Samayapuram as police sought to apprehend Jagan. Reportedly, he resisted arrest and attempted to attack the police officers, prompting them to retaliate in self-defense. The exchange resulted in the unfortunate demise of Jagan. Law enforcement agencies had been actively pursuing Jagan due to his alleged involvement in serious criminal activities. The encounter follows recent arrests of nine members affiliated with Jagan’s gang, who were apprehended for brandishing dangerous weapons during a birthday celebration in Thiruverambur. @@@@@
