Chennai, Dec 22: Governor R N Ravi approved the recommendations of Chief Minister M K Stalin in reallocating the portfolios held by K Ponmudi, who was sentenced to undergo a three-year term in a corruption case on Thursday, to Ministers R S Rajakannappan and R Gandhi.

Rajakanappan would take care of Higher Education, including technical education, electronics, science and technology in addition to his ministries of Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes and Denotified Tribes, while Gandhi will look after Khadi and village industries board in addition to hisĀ  handloom and textiles.
