In a strategic move, the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) state president, Nellai Mubarak, has identified the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) as a crucial ally in the battle against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Mubarak made these remarks while briefing reporters in preparation for the secularism protection conference the SDPI is hosting in Madurai on Sunday. Mubarak emphasized that the SDPI supports all parties that champion secularism, and he sees the AIADMK as a significant force capable of countering the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections. According to him, the protection of secularism should be a central theme in the election manifestos of political parties. The collaboration between the SDPI and AIADMK in this context showcases a strategic alliance against the BJP.. As political dynamics continue to evolve in the lead-up to the Lok Sabha elections, the role of regional parties and their alignments will play a crucial role in shaping the electoral landscape.
