Chennai, Jan 27: The Chennai Railway Division has issued a notification regarding temporary adjustments to train services to accommodate essential maintenance work. Effective from January 27, these adjustments aim to ensure the smooth execution of maintenance tasks while minimizing inconvenience to commuters.Starting January 27, trains departing from Chennai Central to Tiruthani will operate at 7:00 PM and 8:20 PM, with both journeys concluding at Arakkonam. Additionally, the 6:30 PM train departing from Chennai Beach to Tiruthani will have its final stop at Arakkonam.
The 9:45 PM train from Tiruthani to Chennai Central will commence its journey from Arakkonam, and the 4:30 AM train from Tiruthani to Chennai Central on the 28th will also originate from Arakkonam.
However, passengers are advised to take note of the cancellation of specific trains. The 9:15 PM and 11:15 PM trains from Thiruthani to Arakkonam on January 27, as well as the 4:00 AM train from Arakkonam to Thiruthani on the 28th, will not be operational.
The temporary adjustments are part of the Chennai Railway Division’s ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and efficiency of railway services through necessary maintenance work. Commuters are encouraged to plan their journeys accordingly and stay informed about any updates or changes to the schedule during this period, a press release said.
