VCK demands expulsion of Governor

In the aftermath of the dramatic events that unfolded in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), an ally of the ruling DMK, has announced its intention to pursue legal action to expel Governor RN Ravi from the state.

Thirumavalavan, the leader of the VCK, issued a scathing statement condemning Governor RN Ravi’s conduct in the Legislative Assembly, which he deemed as a blatant disregard for political traditions and legal norms, ultimately insulting the people of Tamil Nadu.

“It is the constitutional duty of the Governor to read the speech prepared by the state government. RN Ravi has rejected it today. This is an insult not only to the Government of Tamil Nadu elected by the people but also to the Constitution which has given rise to the position of the Governor. The governor, who deliberately sharpens the conflict with the state government and creates unnecessary controversies in the political arena from time to time, forgets his responsibility and his dignity and acts like a representative of a party,” Thirumavalavan MP accused.
