OPS accuses EPS of colluding with DMK

O. Panneerselvam, the former coordinator of the AIADMK, leveled serious allegations against the party’s general secretary, Edappdi K. Palaniswami, accusing him of clandestinely collaborating with the ruling DMK.
In a scathing statement issued on Friday, Panneerselvam asserted that Palaniswami had entered into a “secret pact” with the DMK, betraying the core principles of the AIADMK. He cited Palaniswami’s public endorsement of the “One Nation, One Election” concept in a social media post last September as evidence of this collaboration.
Panneerselvam underscored that Palaniswami’s stance on the issue contradicted the longstanding position of the AIADMK, which had historically viewed the DMK as an adversary. He emphasized that both AIADMK stalwarts, M.G. Ramachandran and Jayalalithaa, had regarded the DMK as an “evil force.”
Accusing Palaniswami of “surrendering” to the DMK for personal gain, Panneerselvam lamented the dilution of the party’s identity under his leadership. He warned that in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, this alleged betrayal would result in the relegation of the Palaniswami-led faction to fourth place.
