KMK extends support to BJP

In a significant political development, the Kongunadu Munnetra Kazhagam (KMK) has announced its support for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The decision underscores KMK’s confidence in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and its belief in the transformative vision of the BJP for the nation.

Addressing the media, ‘Best’ S Ramasamy, the president of KMK, expressed admiration for the remarkable growth and development witnessed by India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the past decade. He highlighted the nation’s impressive progress, attributing it to the visionary policies and initiatives implemented by the Modi government. Ramasamy emphasized that India’s growth trajectory has garnered international acclaim, positioning the country as a global leader on the world stage.

Furthermore, Ramasamy drew attention to the contrasting revenue models between Tamil Nadu and Gujarat, noting that while the Tamil Nadu government heavily relies on revenue generated from tasmac shops, Gujarat has successfully abstained from liquor sales. This comparison underscores KMK’s endorsement of the BJP’s governance model, which prioritizes sustainable and equitable economic development.

Clarifying KMK’s stance on contesting in the Lok Sabha polls, Ramasamy stated that the party traditionally refrains from fielding candidates in parliamentary elections. Instead, KMK has thrown its support behind the BJP, predicting a resounding victory for the party in Tamil Nadu. Ramasamy asserted that both the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), which have long dominated Tamil Nadu’s political landscape, have failed to adequately address the state’s welfare and development needs.
