Tensions escalate in Tamil Nadu’s political arena as State BJP President K Annamalai issues a bold challenge to Chief Minister MK Stalin hours after a defamation suit was filed against him. Annamalai, undeterred by the legal action, asserts that Stalin cannot silence the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from exposing the alleged nexus of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) in the international drug trade.
In a defiant social media post, Annamalai makes it clear that the BJP will continue to shed light on what they perceive as the DMK’s involvement in illicit activities, despite legal threats. His remarks come in response to the defamation suit filed by Stalin against Annamalai and AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami for allegedly linking him to an international drug cartel.
Annamalai accuses Stalin of maintaining silence following the arrest of former DMK functionary AR Jaffer Sadiq, purportedly an international drug lord, by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). He questions whether the Chief Minister is aware of the developments surrounding Sadiq’s arrest and the ongoing investigation into his alleged connections.
