As the weekend approaches, the Tamil Nadu Express Bus Transport Corporation (TNSTC) has rolled out plans to accommodate the surge in travel demands, ensuring convenient and hassle-free journeys for citizens across the state. With a focus on enhancing connectivity and catering to diverse travel destinations, TNSTC has organized the operation of 350 additional special buses from the Chennai Kilambakkam Mofussil Bus Terminus to various key destinations today, Friday, March 15th.These special buses will ply to popular destinations including Thiruvannamalai, Trichy, Kumbakonam, Madurai, Thirunelveli, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari, Thoothukudi, Coimbatore, Salem, Erode, and Thirupur, facilitating travel for commuters planning weekend getaways or visits to their hometowns.
Anticipating continued travel demands over the weekend, TNSTC has further announced the operation of 420 additional special express buses tomorrow, Saturday, March 16th, from the Chennai Metro City Kilambakkam Bus Terminus. These buses will cater to the same destinations, offering commuters more options and flexibility in their travel plans.
In addition to services from the Kilambakkam Bus Terminus, TNSTC has also organized 70 special additional express buses today from the Chennai Metro City Koyambedu Mofussil Bus Terminus. These buses will connect commuters to destinations such as Nagappattinam, Velankanni, Hosur, and Bangalore, ensuring comprehensive coverage of travel needs.
In total, 360 additional buses are set to be operated today, Friday, March 15th, and 420 special buses will be deployed tomorrow, Saturday, March 16th, to the aforementioned destinations. Furthermore, to facilitate the return journey for passengers, TNSTC has made arrangements for return trip special buses to operate on Sunday, March 17th.
Additionally, recognizing the influx of travelers from neighboring states, TNSTC has arranged for 200 special buses to operate from Bengaluru, Thirupur, Erode, and Coimbatore to various destinations, ensuring seamless connectivity and accessibility for commuters traveling to Tamil Nadu.
