Former Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam, amidst speculation and rumors, reaffirmed that discussions regarding an electoral alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are still underway. Panneerselvam, who was previously the coordinator of the AIADMK before being expelled, clarified his stance in a statement issued on Friday, March 15, 2024.Rejecting the notion of his supporters boycotting the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Panneerselvam emphasized that alliance negotiations with the BJP are ongoing. He assured that once these discussions conclude, he will provide detailed information regarding the alliance and its terms. Panneerselvam also urged the public to refrain from believing and spreading unfounded rumors regarding the electoral alliance.
Furthermore, Panneerselvam reiterated his faction’s support for the BJP, citing the belief that only Prime Minister Narendra Modi can ensure a stable government for the nation.
