The Integral Coach Factory (ICF) has reached a significant milestone in the year 2023-24 by producing its 1,000th Distributed Power System (DPS) coach, setting a new record for the highest number of DPS coaches manufactured in a single production year by the Indian Railways.The achievement underscores ICF’s commitment to innovation and excellence in railway coach manufacturing. The DPS coaches play a crucial role in various train configurations, including Vande Bharat train sets, Electric Multiple Units (EMU), Mainline Electric Multiple Units (MEMU), Self-Propelled Inspection Cars (SPIC), and Self-Propelled Accident Relief Trains (SPART).
Subba Rao, the General Manager of ICF, expressed his appreciation for the dedication and hard work of the staff and officers of the factory in accomplishing this milestone.
