According to an official release, the state transport corporations will deploy a total of 305 special buses on Friday and 390 buses on Saturday, departing from Kilambakkam terminus to various destinations including Tiruvannamalai, Trichy, Kumbakonam, Madurai, Tirunelveli, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari, Thoothukudi, Coimbatore, and Salem. Additionally, 65 special buses will operate from Koyambedu on both Friday and Saturday, serving routes to Nagapattinam, Velankanni, Hosur, and Bengaluru.
To cater to the demand from Bengaluru, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, and Erode, a total of 200 special buses will be deployed to connect these cities with various parts of Tamil Nadu.
On Sunday, in anticipation of the full-moon day and increased pilgrimage activity, 570 special buses will be in operation exclusively to Tiruvannamalai.
In a move to enhance passenger comfort and convenience, the State Express Transport Corporation (SETC) will operate both air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned sleeper cum seater buses to Tiruvannamalai on Saturday and Sunday from the Kilambakkam terminus.
