AIADMK leader Edappadi K. Palaniswami has expressed confidence that the party’s manifesto for the upcoming elections resonates deeply with the aspirations and requirements of the people of Tamil Nadu.In a video message released ahead of the party’s public meeting in Trichy, Palaniswami emphasized that the manifesto was meticulously crafted after extensive consultations with various segments of society across the state. He asserted that the manifesto panel toured extensively to gather suggestions and demands from all sections of the populace, ensuring that the promises encapsulated the collective voice of Tamil Nadu’s citizens.
“The AIADMK’s poll promises are a reflection of your thoughts and needs,” declared Palaniswami, underlining the party’s commitment to addressing the concerns and aspirations of the people.
Key highlights of the manifesto include a monthly incentive of Rs 3,000 for women heads of poor families, the provision of six free gas cylinders per annum, and the prioritization of state rights in crucial inter-state water disputes such as Mekedatu and Mullaperiyar. Additionally, the manifesto pledges to ensure the equitable devolution of funds to the state, reaffirming the AIADMK’s dedication to safeguarding Tamil Nadu’s interests.
Palaniswami emphasized that the manifesto, comprising 133 poll promises, is devoid of superficial or publicity-driven intentions, underscoring the party’s commitment to delivering tangible benefits to the people.
“I am coming to meet you (voters) in Trichy with heartfelt happiness and pride, with realistic and achievable poll promises,” affirmed Palaniswami, extending a sincere call to the electorate to support the AIADMK, a party staunchly dedicated to protecting the rights and welfare of the state.
