Yechury, Prakash Karat to campaign in TN

As the political landscape in Tamil Nadu heats up ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, prominent leaders of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPM) are gearing up to intensify their campaigning efforts in support of the DMK-led alliance candidates. With a focus on mobilizing support and rallying voters, CPM General Secretary Sitaram Yechury and Politburo Member Prakash Karat are set to embark on extensive campaign tours across key constituencies in the state.

Sitaram Yechury, the seasoned leader and General Secretary of the CPM, is scheduled to kickstart his campaign trail in Chennai on April 11. His itinerary includes rallying support for the DMK-led alliance candidates, as well as campaigning for his party’s candidate R Sachithanandam on April 12. On April 13, Yechury will shift his focus to seek support for the sitting Madurai MP and CPM candidate, Su Venkatesan, in what promises to be a crucial leg of the campaign.

Meanwhile, Prakash Karat, another stalwart of the CPM and Politburo Member, will commence his campaign tour in Madurai and Dindigul on April 6 and 7 respectively. Continuing his efforts to bolster support for the alliance candidates, Karat will then proceed to Tiruppur and Coimbatore constituencies on April 8, underscoring the strategic importance of these regions in the electoral battle.
