SBI Announces Revisions in Debit Card Maintenance Charges

In a recent update, the State Bank of India (SBI) has announced revisions in annual maintenance charges for certain debit cards, effective from April 1, as per information available on the SBI website. These changes are part of the bank’s efforts to streamline its fee structure and align it with market dynamics. The revisions primarily affect the annual maintenance charges for various categories of debit cards, including Classic, Silver, Global, Contactless, Yuva, Gold, Combo, Platinum, and Pride Premium Business Debit Cards. Here are the key changes in the annual maintenance charges for SBI debit cards: Classic, Silver, Global, and Contactless Debit Cards: The annual maintenance charge for these categories of debit cards has been revised to Rs. 200 + GST, up from the existing Rs. 125 + GST. Yuva, Gold, Combo Debit Card, and My Card (Image Card): The annual maintenance fees for these debit cards have been increased to Rs. 250 + GST from the previous Rs. 175 + GST. Platinum Debit Card: The annual maintenance charge for the SBI Platinum debit card will now be Rs. 325 + GST, compared to the previous charge of Rs. 250 + GST. Pride Premium Business Debit Card: For SBI debit cards like the Pride Premium Business Debit Card, the annual maintenance charge has been raised to Rs. 425 + GST, up from the current Rs. 350 + GST.
