The Chief Secretary of the Tamil Nadu State Government, Shivdas Meena, has made a significant announcement ahead of the Parliamentary Election Day, declaring a public holiday on April 19th. This decision aims to facilitate citizens in exercising their democratic right to vote during the crucial electoral process.
Scheduled to be conducted in a single phase, the Parliamentary Elections in Tamil Nadu hold immense importance for the state’s political landscape. With the election date set for April 19th, preparations are in full swing as candidates and political parties gear up for the electoral battle.
The final list of candidates contesting in the parliamentary elections has been compiled, marking the culmination of a rigorous nomination process. As election campaigns gain momentum across the state, candidates are fervently engaging with voters to garner support for their respective platforms and agendas.
On June 4th, the fate of candidates will be decided as the votes cast by citizens are tallied. The anticipation surrounding the election results is palpable, with citizens eagerly awaiting the outcome of their democratic participation.
To facilitate the voting process, election officials have initiated the collection of postal votes starting from Friday, April 4th. This essential task ensures that individuals unable to cast their votes in person have the opportunity to participate in the electoral process.
In certain districts, the collection of postal votes is scheduled to commence on Saturday, April 6th, further streamlining the voting process and ensuring inclusivity in the democratic exercise.
