BJP state unit president K Annamalai asserted the party’s commitment to social justice during a public gathering in Coimbatore on Sunday, countering rival parties’ criticisms and outlining the BJP’s vision for development in the region.
Addressing the audience after garlanding the statue of Dr. BR Ambedkar, Annamalai highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts to ensure political representation for all communities in his cabinet. He emphasized that the BJP stands for social justice and urged voters to support the party for inclusive development.
Taking aim at the DMK and AIADMK, Annamalai criticized the MPs from these parties for their alleged failure to effectively implement central government schemes in their constituencies over the past decade. He accused them of neglecting the development of Coimbatore and Pollachi and promised that the BJP would prioritize the region’s growth, particularly in sectors such as agriculture and industry.
Annamalai pledged to address key issues such as unemployment, road infrastructure, and water conservation to improve the quality of life in Coimbatore. He highlighted the party’s plans to support brick kiln units and establish industrial hubs to create employment opportunities for the youth.
The BJP president also criticized the DMK for not fulfilling its promises regarding the rural job guarantee scheme (MGNREGS) and vowed to ensure that such commitments are met under BJP’s leadership.
