Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, dubbing him the “Vasool Raja” (extortion king) for allegedly abusing central agencies to fill the BJP’s coffers. Speaking at an election rally in Chennai, Stalin accused PM Modi of misusing agencies like the ED, CBI, and Income Tax Department to manipulate political parties, purchase MLAs and MPs, and arrest chief ministers.
Stalin further criticized PM Modi for allegedly extorting money through electoral bonds and establishing an exclusive trust to generate funds through the PM Cares Fund. He labeled PM Modi as the sole “Vasool Raja” who employed central agencies to intimidate businesses and extract money through electoral bonds.
The DMK chief also took aim at the BJP’s election manifesto, describing it as a “villain” for the country and its citizens. Stalin denounced the manifesto’s proposal to implement the Uniform Civil Code, warning that it could divide people along religious lines and pose a serious threat to the nation.
Additionally, Stalin accused the BJP of lacking originality in its manifesto, pointing out that the party had recycled promises from previous elections, such as providing sanitary napkins for Re 1, while simultaneously imposing GST on sanitary napkins. He criticized the BJP’s manifesto for being divisive and deceptive, urging the people to see through its purported promises.
