CMRL works: Traffic diversions announced on OMR


Due to ongoing works by Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) and Chennai Metro Water and Sewerage Services Board (CMWSSB) at the Kumaran Nagar junction on Rajiv Gandhi Salai (OMR), Tambaram city police have announced traffic diversions on OMR until the completion of these works.
From Sholinganallur Junction:
Vehicles heading towards Navalur and Kelambakkam can proceed as usual.
Vehicles aiming to reach Nookampalayam Road and Tsunami Quarters in Semmencherry must take a U-turn at Sathyabama Junction and then a left at Kumaran Nagar Junction.
From Tsunami Quarters and Nookampalayam Road:
Vehicles heading towards Kelambakkam should take a left at Kumaran Nagar Junction, make a U-turn 150 meters away, and continue towards Navalur and Kelambakkam.
From Thiruvalluvar Salai:
Vehicles should take a left to reach Navalur and make a U-turn at Sathyabama Junction to proceed towards Tsunami Quarters and Sholinganallur.
From Navalur:
Vehicles intending to go towards Thiruvalluvar Salai should take a U-turn after Kumaran Nagar Junction to reach their destination.
The diversions have been implemented to facilitate smooth traffic flow and ensure the safety of commuters while the construction work is ongoing. The police have advised motorists to follow the new routes and cooperate with the traffic management authorities to avoid inconvenience.
