TN BJP president Annamalai trails in Coimbatore


BJP state chief Annamalai, who campaigned fiercely, is trailing in Coimbatore, while DMK’s Ganapathy Rajkumar is ahead with 3335 votes.

DMK Ganapathy Rajkumar is leading in Coimbatore by a margin of 3454 votes, followed by BJP’s Annamalai, AIADMK’s Singai G. Ramachandran. So far, Ganapathy has secured 12841 votes, while Annamalai got 9387 votes, followed by Ramachandran’s 5058 votes, according to ECI.

In the 2014 Lok Sabha polls, P Nagarajan of AIADMK bagged the Coimbatore seat as he defeated BJP’s CP Radhakrishnan by over 40,000 votes.
