Gold price decreases by Rs 160 per sovereign



The price of gold in Chennai saw a decrease of Rs 160 per sovereign on Monday, bringing the price down to Rs 53,040 from the previous day’s rate of Rs 53,200 per sovereign. This marks a continuation of the recent fluctuations in gold prices across Tamil Nadu.

The price per gram of gold also dropped by Rs 20, with the current rate being Rs 6,630, compared to Rs 6,650 the previous day. These changes reflect the ongoing volatility in the gold market over the past several days.

While gold prices have seen a decrease, the price of silver has experienced a slight increase. The rate of silver rose by Rs 0.20 per gram, bringing it to Rs 96.20 per gram.
