In observance of World Day Against Child Labour, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin announced that Tamil Nadu is making significant progress in its efforts to eliminate child labour, with a targeted completion by 2025.

He emphasized the active role played by both the public and employers in this endeavour. “Considering the significance of the issue, the public and employers have been avoiding employing children as labourers,” he noted.
The Chief Minister underscored the comprehensive strategies being implemented across the state, including the proactive involvement of District Collectors. āDistrict Collectors have been taking steps to declare districts free of child labour,ā he said, reflecting the administration’s commitment to this critical social issue.
