Vikaravandi, June 20: PMK candidate C Anbumani officially filed his nomination for the upcoming by-election in the Vikravandi assembly constituency on Wednesday. The by-election is scheduled for July 10.Anbumani, accompanied by alliance party executives and volunteers, arrived at the taluk office in Chennai to submit his nomination papers to Election Officer Chandrasekhar. This marks a significant step in the PMK’s campaign efforts for the Vikravandi seat.
C Anbumani, who currently serves as the party’s vice president, is the chosen candidate for the NDA alliance, led by the BJP, which has allocated the Vikravandi constituency to its ally PMK. His candidacy is seen as a crucial move to strengthen the NDA’s position in the region.
In addition to PMK’s Anbumani, Dr. Abhinaya of the Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) is also contesting in the by-election, running under the mike symbol.
