The much-awaited trailer for Indian 2, directed by Shankar Shanmugam and starring the legendary Kamal Haasan, is set to release on June 25. The film, a sequel to the 1996 blockbuster Indian, is scheduled for a grand theatrical release on July 12.
The makers of Indian 2 took to their official X account to share the thrilling news, tweeting, “Step into the grandeur with SENAPATHY! The INDIAN-2 Trailer is releasing on June 25th, 2024. Brace yourselves for the comeback (sic).”
The cast of Indian 2 includes an impressive lineup of stars: Kajal Aggarwal, Bobby Simha, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and Samuthirakani. Produced by Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies, the film’s music is composed by the acclaimed Anirudh Ravichander.
The political thriller is penned by Jayamohan, Kabilan Vairamuthu, and Lakshmi Saravanakumar. Ravi Varman’s exceptional cinematography combined with A Sreekar Prasad’s meticulous editing promises to deliver a visual spectacle.
Set to release in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi, Indian 2 continues the story of Senapathy, a vigilante who fights against corruption.
