Consul-General of Japan in Chennai calls on CM

The Consul-General of Japan in Chennai, Takahashi Muneo, paid a courtesy visit to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin at the Secretariat on Monday. The meeting aimed to strengthen bilateral relations and discuss areas of mutual cooperation between Japan and Tamil Nadu.
Chief Secretary Shiv Das Meena, along with senior officials and representatives from the Consulate General of Japan in Chennai, were also present during the meeting. The discussions focused on enhancing economic ties, cultural exchanges, and potential investments in various sectors.
Chief Minister Stalin welcomed Consul-General Takahashi and highlighted the longstanding relationship between Japan and Tamil Nadu. He expressed his appreciation for Japan’s contributions to the state’s development, particularly in infrastructure and technology.
Consul-General Takahashi reiterated Japan’s commitment to furthering its partnership with Tamil Nadu. He emphasized Japan’s interest in exploring new avenues of collaboration, especially in areas such as industrial development, education, and sustainable practices.
The meeting concluded with both sides expressing optimism about future engagements and the potential for deeper cooperation in the coming years.
