Hardik, Natasa Stankovic officially announce separation

Mumbai, July 19: Hardik Pandya and Natasa Stankovic have announced their mutual separation after four years of marriage. Pandya shared the news on Instagram, revealing that they have decided to part ways amicably for the benefit of both parties and their three-year-old son, Agastya.
In his Instagram post, Pandya wrote, “After 4 years of being together, Natasa and I have decided to mutually part ways. We tried our best together and gave it our all, and we believe this is in the best interest for both of us. This was a tough decision, given the joy, mutual respect, and companionship we enjoyed as we grew our family.”

The couple, who married in 2020, had been the subject of divorce rumors for some time. Stankovic, a 32-year-old Serbian actress and model known for her roles in Bollywood films like *Satyagraha* and *Action Jackson*, reportedly flew to Serbia with their son just days before the announcement.

Pandya, who led Mumbai Indians in the 2024 Indian Premier League, recently played a pivotal role in India’s ICC T20 World Cup 2024 victory, delivering key performances in the final against South Africa.

On the same day as the announcement, the BCCI’s selection committee, headed by Ajit Agarkar, made a significant decision regarding the T20I captaincy. Suryakumar Yadav has been chosen to lead the Indian T20I team for the upcoming tour to Sri Lanka, with Shubman Gill appointed as vice-captain. This move comes as a surprise to many, as Pandya, despite his recent success and leadership in the T20 World Cup, was not selected for the role.

The upcoming Sri Lanka tour will mark the beginning of a new leadership era for the Indian T20I team, as Yadav takes over from Pandya.
