The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) in Chennai has forecasted heavy rainfall in several districts of Tamil Nadu over the next seven days. According to the RMC, light to moderate rain is expected in many areas, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds reaching speeds of 30-40 kmph in isolated locations across Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal.Heavy rain is likely to affect isolated parts of Ranipet, Vellore, Tirupattur, Tiruvannamalai, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Salem, Kallakurichi, Namakkal, Erode, Tirupur, Karur, Tiruchy, Dindigul, Madurai, Theni, and Tenkasi districts.
In Chennai, light to moderate rainfall is expected to continue over the next 24 hours, with temperatures ranging from 34-35 degrees Celsius during the day and 26-27 degrees Celsius at night.
