
In a significant administrative reshuffle, senior IAS officer N. Muruganandam has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary of Tamil Nadu. The announcement came just a day after the previous Chief Secretary, Shiv Das Meena, was transferred and appointed as the Chairman of the Tamil Nadu Real Estate Regulatory Authority (TNRERA).
N. Muruganandam, who was serving as Secretary-1 to the Chief Minister, is a key figure within Chief Minister M.K. Stalin’s inner administrative circle. A 1991 batch IAS officer, Muruganandam has an extensive career in the state bureaucracy, including a notable tenure as the Finance Secretary under the current administration.
With a background in computer science, holding a Bachelor of Engineering degree, Muruganandam also brings a strong foundation in management, having earned an MBA from the prestigious Indian Institute of Management (IIM). His experience and educational credentials make him a well-suited candidate for the role of Chief Secretary in Tamil Naduās government.
As the new Chief Secretary, Muruganandam is expected to continue playing a pivotal role in shaping the administrationās policies and ensuring the effective implementation of government initiatives under Chief Minister Stalin’s leadership
