The AIADMK has devised a new strategy to regain its lost influence by distributing new membership cards door-to-door. This move follows the party’s significant setback in the last Lok Sabha elections, particularly in the Kongu region, where it traditionally held strong support. AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami has instructed party officials to strengthen the organization before the next assembly elections.
During a recent meeting in Tiruppur, MLA Pollachi Jayaraman emphasized the importance of this membership drive, noting that successfully executing this task could lead to a substantial electoral victory, even if the party contests independently. Party members believe that this approach will help identify genuine members, foster self-assessment among the cadres, and instill confidence in the party’s ability to succeed on its own.
