Palani in Dindigul district is all set to host the Global Muthamizh Murugan Conference, a significant event that will take place today and tomorrow. Elaborate arrangements have been made to accommodate the large number of attendees expected to participate in this grand occasion.

According to a press release from the district administration, key officials, including B. Chandra Mohan, Secretary of the Tourism, Culture, and Religious Endowments Department, and Dindigul Collector M.N. Poongodi, recently inspected the preparations at the Arulmigu Palaniandavar College of Arts and Culture, where the two-day conference will be held.

B. Chandra Mohan emphasized that the conference will be conducted in a grand manner, with lakhs of people anticipated to attend. This includes not only VIPs, scholars, and devotees from across India but also participants from around the globe. The event is open to the public with free entry.

The conference will feature a variety of events, including seminars, photo exhibitions, and 3-D exhibitions, showcasing the cultural and spiritual significance of Lord Murugan. These activities aim to provide participants with a deeper understanding and appreciation of Tamil culture and spirituality.

To ensure the comfort and convenience of the participants, the organizers have arranged for basic amenities, including food provisions. Each participant will also receive a packet containing 200 grams of panchamirtham, along with kumkum, vibhuthi, and a laminated photo of Lord Murugan.

During the inspection, officials including Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Commissioner P.N. Sridhar and Additional Commissioner R. Sukumar were present to oversee the final preparations.

In addition to the on-site arrangements, the district administration has established control rooms and launched a toll-free number to assist participants and the general public during the event. This initiative is part of the broader effort to ensure the smooth running of the conference and to address any concerns or queries attendees may have.

With all the preparations in place, the Global Muthamizh Murugan Conference is expected to be a landmark event, drawing together devotees, scholars, and cultural enthusiasts from around the world in a celebration of Tamil heritage and spirituality.
