The Tamil Nadu government has announced that it will host the Global Startup Summit on February 21-22, 2025, at the Chennai Trade Centre. Organized by the Tamil Nadu Startup and Innovation Mission (TANSIM), the summit aims to establish the state as a premier destination for startups and innovative businesses.The summit will adhere to international standards and feature a diverse range of activities, including roundtables, panel discussions, cultural events, and networking opportunities. It is designed to highlight Tamil Nadu’s business-friendly environment and attract global investors and potential collaborations.
Archana Patnaik, Secretary of the MSME Department, revealed that Rs 15 crore has been allocated for the summit. The event is expected to draw top startups and key stakeholders from leading global startup ecosystems. Additionally, an investor pavilion will be set up to facilitate funding opportunities for new businesses.
The Global Startup Summit is part of Tamil Nadu’s broader strategy to enhance its export basket and promote sectors for global recognition. By showcasing its robust support infrastructure for startups, Tamil Nadu aims to position itself as a leading hub for innovation and entrepreneurship on the global stage.
