Security for Thol. Thirumavalavan, leader of the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK), has been heightened following concerns raised after the assassination of Armstrong, the former Tamil Nadu state leader of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP).
In the wake of Armstrong’s murder, demands arose to strengthen the security of several political leaders, including Thirumavalavan. The state government has responded positively to these concerns.
Previously, Thirumavalavan was provided with a Personal Security Officer (PSO) for his protection. Now, in addition to the existing PSO, another PSO and four more police officers have been appointed to rotate shifts, ensuring round-the-clock security for the VCK leader.
This move underscores the government’s commitment to ensuring the safety of key political figures in Tamil Nadu amid rising concerns about their security.
