In response to growing passenger demand, Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has significantly expanded the parking facilities at Thirumangalam Metro Station. The newly upgraded parking area, situated just 200 meters from the station, was inaugurated today to improve convenience for metro users.
The newly enhanced facility offers parking space for 450 two-wheelers and 25 four-wheelers. This expansion complements the existing parking area, which already accommodates 1,100 two-wheelers. The additional parking spaces are expected to alleviate congestion and provide a more efficient solution for passengers commuting to and from the metro station.
The upgraded parking area was officially opened by Thiru Rajesh Chaturvedi, Director (Systems and Operations) of CMRL. The inauguration ceremony was also attended by Thiru S. Satheesh Prabhu, Assistant General Manager (Rolling Stock & Operations), along with other senior officials and staff from CMRL.

This initiative reflects CMRL’s commitment to improving infrastructure and accommodating the needs of its growing user base.
