Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, urging the central government to release the pending funds owed to Tamil Nadu under the Samagra Shiksha Scheme. The letter addresses delays in disbursing the first installment of âč573 crore, which is crucial for the state’s education sector.In his letter, Chief Minister Stalin highlighted the delays faced by Tamil Nadu in receiving the allocated funds. He emphasized that Tamil Nadu, being a leading state in implementing significant educational initiatives, has been actively working on improving both school and higher education systems.
Stalin requested the immediate release of not only the pending âč249 crore from the previous fiscal year but also the current pending amounts. He stressed the importance of timely disbursement of funds to ensure the smooth operation and progress of educational projects in the state.
