AIADMK’s Deputy Secretary of the Medical Wing, Dr. Saravanan, has lodged a complaint with the Madurai Police Commissioner against BJP Tamil Nadu President K. Annamalai, accusing him of continuously criticizing AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami.
In his complaint, Dr. Saravanan stated that on August 25, during a public meeting in Chennai, Annamalai made remarks aimed at tarnishing the reputation of Palaniswami. He alleged that Annamalai’s comments were intended to defame Palaniswami and were made with the intention of disrupting public peace and order.
Dr. Saravanan further claimed that Annamalai has been persistently making derogatory remarks, which could lead to disturbances in law and order. The complaint urges the authorities to take appropriate action against Annamalai for spreading defamatory content and inciting unrest.
This complaint adds to the growing tension between the AIADMK and BJP, highlighting the escalating political conflict in Tamil Nadu. The AIADMK’s decision to take legal action signals its determination to protect its leadership from what it perceives as unwarranted attacks, potentially deepening the rift between the two parties.
