Jiiva condemned the act of sexual harassment, noting that allegations had previously surfaced through the ‘Me Too’ movement and that complaints continue to emerge. He expressed that it would be beneficial if a healthy environment could be maintained in the cinema industry, acknowledging that various issues occur across many fields.
âIt is the duty of actors to uphold a positive environment. There is no sexual harassment in the Tamil film industry,â Jiiva asserted.
However, when a TV reporter persistently questioned him further on this topic, Jiiva responded harshly, leading to a heated exchange between the actor and the journalist, which caused a stir at the event.
