Cops summon Seeman for song on MK

The police have issued a summons to Seeman, the coordinator of the Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK), under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.
The action stems from a complaint filed by lawyer Abesh at the Pattabiram Police Station in Chennai. The complaint alleges that Seeman, during a public event, sang a song about former Chief Minister Karunanidhi, which included certain words that were considered derogatory towards a specific caste.
Following the complaint, the State SC/ST Commission ordered the registration of a case against Seeman and directed the police to take appropriate action. Acting on these instructions, the Pattabiram Police have registered a case under the SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act against Seeman.
Assistant Commissioner Suresh Kumar has been appointed as the investigating officer. Under his leadership, the police initiated the investigation and have sent a summons to Seeman, asking him to appear in person for questioning.
This development marks a significant step in the legal proceedings against Seeman, with further investigations expected to follow.
