The highly anticipated pan-Indian film Devara, directed by Koratala Siva and starring Jr. NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, and Prakash Raj, is set to release on September 27 in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada. Ahead of its release, the film’s press meet was held in Chennai, where the cast and crew shared their excitement.
Music composer Anirudh expressed how special the film is to him. “This film is very special to me. Koratala Siva sir has presented the concept of fear in a unique way. This is my fourth Telugu film, and I believe this will be a whole new world for the audience. From watching the trailer, you can tell how much effort has been put into this film. Everyone gave their best because they truly wanted to, and as a music composer, I am confident that the film will be widely talked about. I’ve heard that Devara has already made great pre-sales in the U.S., and I hope it achieves the same success, not just in Telangana but also in Tamil and other languages.”
He concluded by wishing the best to Jr. NTR and Janhvi Kapoor, who is making her South Indian cinema debut.
Actress Janhvi Kapoor, in her speech, shared her emotional connection to Chennai. “Chennai is very special to me, as I have many fond memories of being here with my mother. I hope you all give me the same love that you gave her. I promise to work hard to earn it. Devara is a special film for me, and I’m sure you will love it too.”
Director Koratala Siva thanked the entire cast and crew, saying, “I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who made Devara such a special project.”
Jr. NTR, who leads the film, shared an interesting personal fact with the audience. “Many people don’t know that I learned Kuchipudi here in Chennai. Words cannot describe how special Devara is to me. I want to thank everyone who worked so hard to bring this film to life. This film will not only be special for me, but I’m sure it will be special for all of you. Be sure to watch it in theaters. You will love Janhvi’s exceptional performance.”
Jr. NTR also expressed his desire to work with renowned Tamil director Vetrimaaran, saying, “I have a wish to do a film with Vetrimaaran sir.”
