On October 6, the Indian Air Force (IAF) will host a spectacular airshow over Marina Beach, featuring 72 aircraft, including advanced fighter jets, to celebrate its 92nd anniversary. The theme for this year`s event is “Bhartiya Vayu Sena — Saksham, Sashakt, Atmanirbhar” (potent, powerful, and self-reliant), underscoring the IAF`s commitment to national airspace security.
The airshow will include performances by elite teams such as Akash Ganga, known for skydiving, the Suryakiran aerobatic team, and the Sarang helicopter display team. Attendees can expect thrilling flypasts and aerial displays featuring the indigenously manufactured Light Combat Aircraft Tejas and heritage aircraft like the Dakota.
