The President of India has issued an order appointing five additional judges of the Madras High Court as permanent judges. The newly appointed permanent judges are L. Victoria Gowri, P. B. Balaji, K. K. Ramakrishnan, R. Kalaimathi, and K. G. Thilakavathi.Following the presidential order, all five judges were sworn in as permanent judges of the Madras High Court on the morning of their appointment. The Acting Chief Justice of the Madras High Court, T. Krishnakumar, administered the oath of office to them in a ceremony held at the High Court.
This appointment strengthens the judiciary and ensures the continued administration of justice in Tamil Nadu.
