Officials from the government transport corporations have announced plans to operate over 2,000 special buses to meet passenger demand from various locations, including Chennai.In addition to the regular fleet of 2,100 buses typically operated from Chennai, more than 600 special buses will be deployed. This initiative aims to ensure that passengers have adequate transportation options available during peak travel times.
The decision reflects the government’s commitment to enhancing public transport services and ensuring that citizens can travel conveniently and efficiently across the state.
As the travel demand increases, this expansion of bus services is expected to provide relief to commuters and facilitate smoother transportation within Tamil Nadu.
