In a significant political development in Tamil Nadu, Udhayanidhi Stalin, son of Chief Minister MK Stalin, has been appointed as the Deputy Chief Minister. Govi Chezhiaan (Thiruvidaimarudur Assembly Constituency): Minister for Higher Education

R Rajendran (Salem North Assembly Constituency): Minister for Tourism
