Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government has focused on realizing the vision of Mahatma Gandhi through various social, economic, and developmental initiatives, said A.N.S.Prasad, Tamilnadu BJP spokesperson.
Programs such as the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, which promotes financial inclusion, and the Swachh Bharat Mission, which revolutionizes sanitation, reflect efforts to empower marginalized communities and improve the quality of life for millions across India, he stated in a release
Other initiatives like the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign and the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana address gender equality and environmental health, while the Skill India Mission and Ayushman Bharat Yojana work towards enhancing employability and providing access to healthcare, respectively. These programs align with Gandhi’s principles of equality and social welfare, Prasad pointed out.
At the same time, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has faced criticism for allegedly misusing Gandhi’s name while engaging in divisive politics. The BJP and supporters of PM Modi argue that his policies contradict the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi, calling for a more careful approach in aligning political actions with the legacy of the Father of the Nation, he stated.
