Tamil Nadu has emerged as a prime location for setting up wind and solar power plants, owing to its favorable environmental conditions compared to other Indian states. This has sparked keen interest among several companies to establish their renewable energy projects in the state.In a significant development, industrialist Anil Ambani, the brother of India’s richest man Mukesh Ambani, held discussions yesterday with Tamil Nadu’s Minister for Industries, Thangam Thennarasu, and other top officials in Alwarpet, Chennai. The talks focused on potential investments in Tamil Nadu’s green energy sector.
It has been revealed that Anil Ambani, through his Reliance Power company, is showing interest in investing in green power projects within Tamil Nadu. Prior to this meeting, Anil Ambani had also met with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin to discuss investment opportunities, further highlighting the state’s growing appeal for renewable energy initiatives.
