In celebration of Vijayadashami, RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) members conducted processions across various cities in Tamil Nadu. One such event in Chennai saw the participation of Union Minister L. Murugan.
As per tradition, RSS organizes nationwide processions during Vijayadashami. In Tamil Nadu, the organization had planned several marches for October 6. Initially, the Tamil Nadu police denied permission for the rallies, prompting RSS to approach the Madras High Court. Following a court order instructing the police to allow the processions, the necessary permissions were granted.
Processions were then held across different cities in Tamil Nadu under heavy police security.
In Chennai, the rally at Egmore was held under tight police security, with Union Minister L. Murugan participating.
In Perambalur, over 300 participants joined the march.
In Madurai, a procession was held from Surveyor Colony to Pudur Bus Stand.
Tirupatturās Natrampalli saw more than 500 participants.
In Coimbatore, the rally moved from Sivananda Colony to Amrita Vidyalayam School, while another march took place in Vadavalli.
In Tenkasi, over 300 RSS members took part in the procession.
Other processions were held in Tiruppur’s Avinashi, Sevur Road, Ulundurpet in Kallakurichi district, and Tachunallur in Tirunelveli district.
These events marked the widespread observance of Vijayadashami by RSS across Tamil Nadu.
