Acclaimed actress Nithya Menen has officially announced her role in Idli Kadai, Dhanush’s much-anticipated fourth directorial venture. Taking to Instagram, Nithya shared a photo of herself with Dhanush, both holding tea glasses, confirming speculations that have been circulating. She captioned the post, “New announcement! #idlikadai,” and tagged Dhanush, adding excitement among fans.
This marks Nithya’s second collaboration with Dhanush, following the success of Thiruchitrambalam, directed by Mithran Jawahar. Nithya recently won a National Award for her performance in Thiruchitrambalam, further boosting anticipation for her role in Idli Kadai.
Dhanush, who has previously directed Pa Paandi and Raayan, is set to helm Idli Kadai after his upcoming project Nilavukku Enmel Ennadi Kobam. The music for the film will be composed by GV Prakash Kumar, continuing his successful collaborations with Dhanush on films like Vaathi and Captain Miller.
Produced by Dawn Pictures, Red Giant Movies, and Wunderbar Films, Idli Kadai will see Aakash Baskaran and Dhanush serving as producers, while Sreyas Srinivasan takes on the role of executive producer. The film’s technical team includes DOP Kiran Koushik, editor Prasanna GK, and production designer Jacki.
