Chennai Metro Rail will operate as per the regular weekday schedule starting October 17, 2024 (Thursday). The services will include the resumption of intercorridor operations, allowing direct travel from Chennai Central Metro to Airport Metro via Koyambedu and Vadapalani on the Green Line.
Ā Service Hours:
– Operational Timings: 05:00 am to 11:00 pm
– First Train Departure: 05:00 am from all terminals
– Last Train Departure: 11:00 pm from all terminals
Frequency:
– Peak Hours (08:00 am – 11:00 am and 05:00 pm – 08:00 pm):
– Green Line (Chennai Central Metro to St. Thomas Mount Metro): Every 6 minutes
– Blue Line (Airport to Wimco Nagar Depot): Every 6 minutes
– Between Washermenpet Metro and Arignar Anna Alandur Metro: Every 3 minutes
– Non-Peak Hours (05:00 am – 08:00 am, 11:00 am – 05:00 pm, 08:00 pm – 10:00 pm): Every 7 minutes on both Blue Line and Green Line
– Late Evening (10:00 pm – 11:00 pm): Every 15 minutes
