BJP Tamil Nadu State Coordinator H. Raja has called on Chief Minister M.K. Stalin to dismiss Udhayanidhi Stalin from his ministerial position, following an incident where the Tamil Thaai Vaazhthu (Tamil motherland song) was reportedly sung incorrectly twice at a function attended by Udhayanidhi. Raja stated that Stalin should take responsibility for this error, as he had previously advocated for the removal of the Governor over a similar incident.
In his statement, Raja remarked that Udhayanidhi brushed off the incident by referring to it as a “technical fault.” However, Raja asserted that, given Stalin’s past stance, he should dismiss Udhayanidhi from his post.
Raja also criticized practices in Tamil Nadu temples, where devotees are reportedly charged various fees. He announced that the BJP will launch a “No Fees in Temples” campaign across Tamil Nadu after the party’s organizational elections conclude, aiming to eliminate fees imposed on devotees in temples.
In another recent event in Karur, members of the BJP allegedly erased Hindi text on a mobile shop’s signage using paint. Raja demanded that the Chief Minister take action against the individuals involved, underscoring BJP’s stance on promoting the Tamil language.
Raja’s statements underscore the BJP’s active critique of the state administration and signal the party’s focus on issues surrounding Tamil identity, temple practices, and language policies in Tamil Nadu.
