In preparation for the Soorasamharam festival at Tiruchendur, over 70 special express buses will operate from various locations, including Chennai, to accommodate devotees traveling to the event.
Officials from the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) announced that the Kandha Sashti Soorasamharam festival will be held on November 7 in Tiruchendur, drawing devotees from across Tamil Nadu. To facilitate travel, special buses will be operated from November 6 onwards.
More than 70 luxury express buses will depart from cities like Chennai, Salem, Erode, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Trichy, Bengaluru, and Puducherry. Additional express buses will be available based on passenger demand.
Tickets for these services can be pre-booked through the TNSTC website (www.tnstc.in) and the official TNSTC app. To ensure smooth operations, additional officials will be stationed at bus terminals to monitor the movement of these buses.
In addition, the Tirunelveli Transport Corporation has arranged for over 350 special buses to Tiruchendur to manage the high influx of festival attendees.
